During a hair transplant we move small tissue units called grafts from areas where you have plenty of hair to areas where hair has thinned or disappeared.
Each graft consists of a follicular unit with one to four hair strands together with the tissue that supplies the follicle with nutrients. When the graft is placed in its new area the follicle continues to produce hair exactly as before, just in a new spot.

When a graft is moved to a new area it is placed in a way that lets the tissue quickly connect with new blood vessels. This means the follicle can start producing hair again within a few days of the procedure.
Because the graft keeps its natural characteristics, the hair continues to grow as it did before, just in its new place.

Hair follicles are extracted one at a time from the back of the head. The recipient area is usually shaved before placement and the follicles are inserted into small channels prepared in the skin. The method leaves no visible scars and suits the scalp and beard.
A special implantation tool places follicles directly into the skin without creating channels in advance. The recipient area often does not need to be shaved, which makes the technique especially valued for visible areas. We offer DHI for the scalp, beard, eyebrows and scars.
